Diet: Omnivorous; primarily feeds on detritus and small invertebrates.
Average Adult Size: 4-5 inches
Preferred Water Parameters: pH 7.0-8.0, Temperature 75-80°F
Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other peaceful to moderately aggressive African cichlids. Provide plenty of rocks and hiding spots to establish territories. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive species. Ensure the tank has a sandy substrate and ample hiding places to mimic their natural habitat.
