Paratilapia polleni

Origin: Madagascar, endemic to freshwater habitats.

Geographic Range: Native to Madagascar, inhabiting freshwater rivers and lakes.

Diet: Omnivore; In the wild, they feed on a varied diet of small invertebrates, insects, and plant matter. In captivity, provide high-quality pellets, flakes, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and plant-based options.

Average Adult Size: Can grow up to 10-12 inches (25-30 cm).

Sexual Dimorphism: Limited sexual dimorphism. Males may exhibit more intense coloration, especially during the breeding season.
