Steatocranus casuarius

Origin: West Africa – Congo River Basin

Geographic Range: Rocky areas of rivers and streams in the Congo River Basin.

Diet: Carnivore; Enjoys a diet of high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other protein-rich offerings.

Average Adult Size: Around 4-5 inches (10-12.7 cm)

Sexual Dimorphism: Limited sexual dimorphism; males may be slightly larger with more pronounced fin extensions.

Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons for a pair, larger for a community

Temperament: Generally peaceful, but males can be territorial, especially during breeding. Keep in pairs or in a community with other non-aggressive fish.
