Diet: Omnivorous; primarily feeds on small invertebrates, algae, and organic detritus.
Average Adult Size: 4-5 inches
Preferred Water Parameters: pH 8.0-9.0, Temperature 75-82°F
Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Peaceful Tanganyikan cichlids and other fish that prefer similar water conditions. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive species. Provide a sandy substrate and plenty of rocks or caves for hiding.
