Geographic Range: Lake Tanganyika, Africa
Diet: Carnivorous; primarily feeds on small invertebrates and zooplankton.
Average Adult Size: 1.5-2 inches
Preferred Water Parameters: pH 8.0-9.0, Temperature 75-80°F
Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Peaceful Tanganyikan cichlids and other small, non-aggressive fish. Provide plenty of shells and rocky hiding spots as they are shell dwellers. Avoid keeping with much larger or overly aggressive species.
