Description

Paratilapia bleekeri

Origin: Madagascar, found in various rivers and lakes.

Geographic Range: Native to Madagascar, primarily inhabiting rivers and lakes.

Diet: Omnivore; In the wild, they feed on a variety of small invertebrates, insects, and plant matter. In captivity, provide a diverse diet that includes high-quality pellets, flakes, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and vegetable matter.

Average Adult Size: Can reach up to 12 inches (30 cm) in length.

Sexual Dimorphism: Limited sexual dimorphism. Males may exhibit more intense coloration, and during breeding, there may be subtle differences in body shape.

Minimum Tank Size: A spacious tank of at least 75 gallons is recommended for an adult Paratilapia bleekeri.
