Description

Origin: Tank Raised

Geographic Range: Discus Fish (Symphysodon spp.) are native to the Amazon River basin in South America.

Diet:
Discus Fish are primarily omnivorous.
Their diet in the wild consists of small invertebrates, insects, and plant matter.
In captivity, they should be fed a varied diet including high-quality flake, pellet, or frozen foods specifically formulated for Discus. Live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart can also be offered as treats.

Average Adult Size:
Adult Discus Fish typically reach sizes ranging from 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 centimeters) in diameter.

Minimum Tank Size:
A minimum tank size of 50 gallons is recommended for a small group of Discus Fish. However, larger tanks are preferred to accommodate their size and social behavior effectively.
